The Erasure of Palestine: On Unwelcome Truths and Politics of Forgetting

The IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) is organizing a talk titled "The Erasure of Palestine: On Unwelcome Truths and the Politics of Forgetting." The guest lecturer is Mr. Naveed Sheikh.

The talk will explore how the Zionist project and the creation - and subsequent expansion - of the state of Israel not only led to the displacement of Palestinians but also to the erasure of Palestine from maps, memory, and public consciousness. Through key historical moments and policies, it traces how a land and its people were made to disappear from the global imagination - and why remembering that history remains vital today.

The event will be moderated by Full Professor Dr. Joseph J. Kaminski from the Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) study program.
